Whereas Fear Harness was a rumination on the past, this release looks ahead towards the future, all while confronting and enduring a myriad of personal transgressions and trauma. Written over a turbulent period of confusion and doubt in the waning days of a global pandemic, there are recurring themes of anxiety, depression, and a decreased sense of self-worth prevalent across the album. These are channeled through a holistic sense of intensity and aggression, directed both inwards and towards external aggressors. These motifs are underpinned by a common thread of hope and tranquility, culminating in a climax that is both ambiguous and aspirational for what is yet to come.
